Heart of the Ottawa Valley

Our area, located in the heart of the Ottawa Valley, is chock full of culturally rich communities like Burnstown, Calabogie, Balaclava, Douglas, Eganville, Cobden, Beachburg, Palmer Rapids, Combermere and Quadeville. Each community is steeped in a rich history and old-country traditions. The spirit of community and giving is alive and well throughout our region.

The Ottawa Valley is a distinct region within Renfrew County. The County spans over 7,646 square kilometres and is home to almost 100, 000 residents. It's most southerly tip is about 70 kilometres from Ottawa; the eastern side is bordered by the Ottawa River; the northern tip extends to within about 100 kilometres of North Bay; and the western side is bordered by Algonquin Park in the north, and by the Counties of Lanark and West Carleton in the South. Many of the communities in the County lie within a 100 kilometre radius of the Town of Renfrew.

We are is strategically located on the Trans Canada Highway, approximately 100 km west of Ottawa, with easy access to Montreal, Toronto, North Bay and Algonquin Park. It is the commercial hub of the area, serving a rural, small town population.
As the geographical hub of Renfrew County, our area is a natural starting point for miles of travel adventure. Thrilling white water rafting, golfing, swimming, boating, fishing and skiing are only some of the activities that can be found in our backyard.
